SugarCRM is a powerful Open Source Customer Resource Management solution. The project was started early in 2004 and is currently at a very robust version 6.5. SugarCRM offers full CRM features including marketing, sales and post-sales functionality. It can integrate with email, calendaring and business phone systems for automated logging of all communications with clients and vendors. Sugar is available as a free download or under a commercial license that gives you support for the software. It is comparable in its goals to Symantec Act and comes at a dramatically lower price than Salesforce.

Integration with Gmail, iCal on iPhone or OS X and full support for inbound and outbound call logging from Asterisk VoIP systems.

SugarCRM is also highly customizable, allowing you to adjust what modules are displayed, add custom fields to any part of the system and even built custom modules from scratch without code using a visual editor. SugarCRM also has a robust and active third party marketplace of commercial and free modules to enhance the functionality of your solution.
